So, what is all the hype going on around America regarding a civil unrest? Most individuals do not even know the definition, let alone the unanticipated repercussions, if a civil unrest goes too far. Civil unrest is when a group of defiant individuals become hostile towards authorities and/or an administration. This is what the experts and the media have labeled all of you protestors. You, the protestors, continue to feed into this as pawns in a chess game — ultimately dispensable pieces. And, for some reason, you continue to follow in line without any remorse for your actions continuing to drink the Kool-Aid. Civil unrest are known to work in recent history, such as the Arab Spring. However, at times, civil unrest results in a civil war. For instance, look at Syria and the war torn country with internally displaced people in refugee camps around the world. Do you want this or something similar to happen in the United States?
I know what you are thinking, “We are not a Middle Eastern country!” and “It won’t happen here!” Well, guess again. We are turning against each other and this is not why millions have fought in wars to protect and defend our civil rights and liberties. We our One Nation Under God. We need to act and present ourselves in that manner. Do you remember how our country united after September 11, 2001? Everyone would fly the flag and talk to others on the streets. My question is, “Are you fake now or were you fake then?” The first responders were heroes. We would thank them and otherwise praise them.
Now, because a bad cop used excessive force against a career criminal, you have labeled all cops as bad. You scream for their defunding. You scream for your version of justice. You scream for regime change. What you should be screaming for is our democracy to hear your pleas in an orderly and diplomatic way. And, mistreating and threatening police forces whose sworn duty is to protect and defend you from unjust actions is not an acceptable way. Most of you probably do not know or even understand why you are protesting, you only hope that the media will take a picture or video of you acting like buffoon or a video that has you in it goes viral for your 15 minutes of fame. In reality, the rest of us in the United States just laugh at how stupid you are acting and that after you get arrested for going too far nearly piss our pants because now you have a criminal record for acting stupid.
My viewpoint on this is that diplomacy is the best policy tool in changing the way things are in a democracy. This country is not a monarchy or dictatorship. We do not need a civil unrest, let alone a civil war. Disrespecting authority is not a way for peaceful negotiations. Spitting and yelling has not solved anything yet and will not have any real change as the situation progresses. True, companies are changing names of products and governments are taking down statutes. However, has any real change occurred? No! There is still inequality. A recent poll showed that the gap between black and white unemployment numbers is the largest it’s been in five years. You can blame President Trump all you want when in reality it is the corporations and their current hiring and retention methods that need adjusted. It is easy to blame one person than the capitalistic organizations that create the jobs and hire employees.
